Our Community Service Projects

Mission Valley Elementary School students support their community in many ways. Click on the titles below to learn more about their service projects.

Coins for Caring

Each year Mission Valley, along with schools throughout the district, raise money for Tulare’s Lighthouse Rescue Mission. Last year our Wildcats raised over $1,000 to donate to the outreach needs of women and children in our community. This year's Coins for Caring Drive will be March 11-15.

United for Good

Mission Valley has teamed up with TCSD schools throughout Tulare to support Heroes Play Games. Heroes Play Games hosts an annual 24-hour gaming marathon and fundraising streams to support Valley Children's Hospital, rallying fellow gamers and sponsors. With unwavering dedication, they alleviate the burdens of illness for young patients and their families, harnessing the transformative power of gaming to make a difference in healthcare for children. Through their efforts, Heroes Play Games demonstrates that gaming can be a force for positive change in the world. Join us in supporting such an amazing organization by purchasing your 24-25 UFG shirt we wear every Wednesday to show that we are United For Good!

Canned Food / Toy Drive

Mission Valley, along with schools across the district, collected toys and canned food for those who need a little extra help this holiday season. Our Wildcats filled bins of toys to make many kids’ Christmas a bit brighter! Our canned food drive is Nov. 5th - 9th. The annual toy drive will begin after Thanksgiving break.

St. Jude's Children's Hospital

Mission Valley School teamed up with Chili's Grill and St. Jude Children's hospital to raise donations to help in the fight against childhood cancer. Students were encouraged to bring in any amount of money to donate to this cause.
