Community Service

Mission Valley Elementary School students support their community in many ways. Click on the titles below to learn more about their service projects.

Coins for Caring

Each year Mission Valley, along with schools throughout the district, raise money for Tulare’s Lighthouse Rescue Mission. This year our Wildcats raised over $1,000 to donate to the outreach needs of women and children in our community.

ump for Heart

Jump for Heart is sponsored by the American Heart Association and raises money to help kids with special hearts. Jump for Heart has been a part of Mission Valley since its first year open! This year we raised over $10,000 to help the American Heart Association reach its goals and had a blast celebrating our accomplishments at our event.

United for Good

United for Good is a partnership of Tulare City Schools geared each year toward a project that will support our local and global community. This year Mission Valley took on supporting “Operation Gratitude” which honors our deployed troops, veterans, and wounded warriors. Students donated items to send to deployed soldiers and also raised money though t-shirt and bracelet sales!

Canned Food / Toy Drive

Mission Valley, along with schools across the district, collected toys and canned food for those who need a little extra help this holiday season. Our Wildcats filled bins of toys to make many kids’ Christmas a bit brighter! Our canned food drive is Nov. 5th - 9th. The annual toy drive will begin after Thanksgiving break.
