Our Community Service Projects

Mission Valley Elementary School students support their community in many ways. Click on the titles below to learn more about their service projects.

Coins for Caring

Each year Mission Valley, along with schools throughout the district, raise money for Tulare’s Lighthouse Rescue Mission. Last year our Wildcats raised over $1,000 to donate to the outreach needs of women and children in our community. This year's Coins for Caring Drive will be March 11-15.

United for Good
This year Mission Valley has teamed up with elementary schools throughout the city of Tulare to support the ALS Golden West Chapter. The Golden West Chapter of The ALS Association is dedicated to the fight against ALS in many ways - funding global research, supporting scientific and clinical collaboration, providing professional care management services to families facing ALS, partnering with multidisciplinary ALS clinics and centers, connecting people with ALS to clinical trials, increasing ALS awareness, driving important public policy initiatives, and bringing the ALS community together. For more information on how you can help this wonderful organization check out their website ALS Golden West Chapter

Canned Food / Toy Drive

Mission Valley, along with schools across the district, collected toys and canned food for those who need a little extra help this holiday season. Our Wildcats filled bins of toys to make many kids’ Christmas a bit brighter! Our canned food drive is Nov. 5th - 9th. The annual toy drive will begin after Thanksgiving break.

St. Jude's Children's Hospital

Mission Valley School teamed up with Chili's Grill and StJude Children's hospital to raise donations to help in the fight against childhood cancer. Students were encouraged to bring in any amount of money to donate to this cause.
